El Delivery is a 10 minute short film set in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood, about a boy and an elderly woman who collide on a sweltering summer day. The boy, from the arriving Dominican enclave; the woman, from the old guard. Growing tense moment by moment, their brief encounter culminates in an explosion. It is the NYU graduate student film of the Dominican filmmaker Juan Castillo. It was shot in 35mm. It was aired 134 times on the HBO networks, becoming first film by a Dominican director licensed by a major US network. Awards *Directors Guild of America Audience Award (Haig P.
