Ehsan Foundation (Iran)

Ehsan Foundation () is an Iranian social foundation affiliated with the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order, which has been set up to organize fast response activities.
According to the head of Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order Mohammad Mokhber, Ehsan Foundation's goal fits with the economic conditions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and based on Iran's supreme leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei; and it will be possible to react faster through it. Being related to people is considered as one of this foundation's attributes, and its practices are depending upon "popular and jihadi forces". Saeed-Suleimani is the head of the foundation who has been elected instead of Mohammad-Turkamaneh.
Activities
The foundation commenced its activities in the phase of giving-dowries for the needy and cochlear implants for them; in the next stages, it provided other services in the field of health, among building 154 health-houses, financing the treatment of 50,000 cancer patients, health insurance for people in deprived areas and giving Qard al-Hasan loan for needy people.
According to Seyyed Amir Hossein Madani, the chief executive officer of the Barakat Ehsan Foundation: "The foundation has been formed in order to enter the social sphere, and the basis of the work is that the practices are done by the people." Among the supportive and therapeutic activities of Ehsan-Foundation in Coronavirus time: Sending health caravans to the affected provinces of Islamic Republic of Iran, assistance to corona victims (with subsistence packages and so on) in disadvantaged places of the country.
Ehsan-foundation has been also active in other fields, such as: providing three trailers equipped with medical equipment and 2 service trailers; two vans equipped with medical equipment which have been ready in order to do corresponding operations, 10 tents with an area of six hundred square-meters with a capacity of 140 hospital-beds, and so forth.
This social foundation launched the campaign of "Rawadide Behesht (Paradise Visa)" within 16 caravans, the "first-pilgrims" (the one who haven't traveled to pilgrimage places at all) from deprived places of Iran, consisting of Ahmad-Fadale in Khuzestan, Helmand/Nimroz/Hamoon in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan, Shakhen in South-Khorasan, Bashagard in Hormozgan, and other provinces who are dispatched to the pilgrimage city of Karbala. Among the other measures of this foundation which is affiliated with the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order are as follows: distributing 2,000 dowries and one thousand stationery packages, 3,000 wheelchairs with the purpose of giving-gifts to the disabled in needy places, and so on.
Ehsan Foundation prepared and distributed one million livelihood packages in disadvantaged areas, with priority given to the corona victims; 30,000 pieces of clothing in the quake-hit areas; and the sending of food supplements for the pregnant mothers in low-income areas. Paying for the release of unintentional crime prisoners is another activity of this foundation.
The implementation of the Ehsan Family Plan with the focus on the distribution of special health items for children and mothers in need in Tehran province with the cooperation of Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation is another activity of the Ehsan Foundation.
Memorandum of understanding
In 2021, the Ehsan Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the country's "Water and Sewerage Engineering Company" in order to supply water to 130 villages in deprived areas, especially in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan.
