Egg Records is an independent music label based in Glasgow, UK and Tokyo, Japan. Originally set up in Glasgow in 1986, Egg Records released 8 records between 1988 and 1990. Egg Records was a short-lived, but important label in the late 1980s/early 1990s post-c86 UK pop music scene. After a long hiatus these long deleted vinyl discs have now been restored to CD. Starting in 2003 with the "Introduction to Egg Records" compilation CD and now with compilations of the bands from the original releases and other bands from the era. Seventeen CDs and 2 download singles have now been released from Change of Seasons, The Bats, The Church Grims, The Widdershins, Even As We Speak, Tugboat, The Prayers, The Submarines, This Poison, and Lets Go Naked. |
