Educational Basketball

Educational Basketball is Africa's first premiere select player development program<></ref>founded in Lagos, Nigeria in 2015. The objective of Educatioal Basketball is to get athletes scholarships with the view of them making the professional leagues regardless of their background and circumstances. In 2021, Educational Basketball partnered with 2x Super Bowl Champion Osi Umenyiora who is the head of NFL Africa with the aim of identifying top athletes in the country. In doing so 12 Educational Basketball athletes were invited to the first NFL Africa Touchdown camp in Ghana. 7 were invited to the and 2 received scholarships to the NFL Academy.
History
The British-Nigerian Founders Olutobi Adepitan & Iseolupo Adepitan were raised in Houston, Texas, USA. The two Brothers trained extensively with NBA Champion Mike James. They are alumni of John Lucas Enterprises Basketball Training and Development. John Lucas is the current Assistant Coach and Director of Player Development For The Houston Rockets. In 2015 the two brothers moved back to Nigeria and founded Educational Basketball.
