Echo Chernik (born as Heather McKinney) is an American Art Nouveau artist. Her motif is an art nouveau/jugendstil influenced style, with elaborate decorative borders, women (or pin-up girls) with flowing and entwining hair, sometimes accompanied by elaborate typography. Chernik, who works with a combination of traditional and digital media, has stated that she tries to approach her work in a may that is similar to painting. In 2012, Chernik was featured in ImagineFX magazine. Chernik's illustrations have also been commissioned by BBC America, Miller Brewing Company and Celestial Seasonings. Chernik has also illustrated cards from the Wits & Wagers card game. Chernik lives in Florida. |
