Earl Gordon Sather (born October 27th, 1912) was a heavyweight professional boxer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Professional Career Earl Sather's professional boxing debut was made on May 12th, 1933 where he beat Al Konze in St. Paul, Minnesota. He followed that up by beating Rudy Offt by way of TKO on June 1st, 1933. Sather followed that up with three more wins, improving his record to 5-0. Then, on March 6th, 1934 he notched his sixth win against Joe Goeders. Ten days later, he faced Goeders again and recorded his first loss of his career. He followed up that loss by beating Al Konze for the second time and also Johnny Baker for the third time. Both of those matches were by way of knockout. On June 22nd, 1934, he faced Joe Goeders again at the Teachers College Field in Winona Minnesota and ended up losing again by way of majority decision. Sather would box in two other matches in 1934, one against Verne Trickle which he won by way of points on November 5th and the other being against Frank Androff on November 15th which he also won. That match would become Androff's first loss after going 8-0-1. Sather would not box a single match during 1935. His final match would be against Homer Dicks on February 13th, 1936 in Austin Texas. The match was Dicks' debut match. Sather would end up winning that match by way of knockout. At the end of his career, Earl Sather recorded a record of 9-2-0. 6 of his wins came off of knockouts and neither of his losses were off knockouts.
