Dysmorphometrics (Dysmorphometry: dys (δυσ - bad, impaired, abnormal); morphé (μορφή - form); metron (μÎτρον - measure)) refers to the quantitative analysis of morphological abnormalities. It builds upon morphometrics, which is the quantitative analysis of form in general (a concept that encompasses size and shape), and expands it to deal with unusual form instances. The topography of abnormalities in form is encoded in a dysmorphogram, which is used to visualize and facilitate any subsequent quantification.
