DSM Dynamic Saturation Modeling is a technology designed by IKMultimedia. An analog circuit’s character varies depending on parameters like strength, frequency and harmonic content of the incoming signal but digital emulations of analog devices (such as guitar amplifiers) is not completely realistic because they apply a static snapshot to the signal, in contrast DSM continuously adapts the shape of the analog circuit by using more complex mathematical functions and through that more realistic sound can be achieved. |
