Dumitru Copil

Dumitru Copil is a highly rated Romanian football prospect who plays for the Scottish team Heart of Midlothian. He joined Hearts in January 2007 for a fee of £200,000 from Romanian team Atletico Arad. According to BBC Sport Copil had previously snubbed Celtic citing the longer contract offered by a Hearts. He was listed as one of the 50 Most Exciting Young Footballers by World Soccer Magazine. Copil was given a fine by Hearts after returning to Romania without permission. Copil has been likened by some in his homeland to Gheorge Hagi.
