Drum Channel

DrumChannel.com is a website for the best players to teach and communicate with people around the world. In 2008, Drum Channel launched with master classes taught by Terry Bozzio (founding member of and drummer with Frank Zappa, along with shows hosted by Gregg Bissonette and in-depth interviews with (Mana), Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction) and Dennis Chambers (Carlos Santana).
Drum Channel.com also streams online live video broadcasts from its own studio and from major events: Sabian Live 2009/2010 and NAMM 2010, Grammy Museum and Musician's Institute. The artists list include Tony Royster Jr. (Jay-Z), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Brendan Buckley (Shakira), Curt Bisquera, James Gadson, Jonathan Moffett (Michael Jackson), Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails), Brooks Wackerman (Bad Religion), Chad Wackerman, Kenny Aronoff, J.R. Robinson (Michael Jackson), Thomas Pridgen, Cora Coleman-Dunham (), Abe Laboriel Jr. and Mike Portnoy.
In 2006, Don Lombardi started developing the DrumChannel.com teaching site with bands performing and then enabling students to be in a class group and ask the teachers questions.
In 2009, Drum Channel launched additional master classes taught by Peter Erskine (Weather Report), Efrain Toro, Neil Peart (Rush) and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers/Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats/Chickenfoot).
Drum Channel was created by Don Lombardi who opened a small teaching studio in Santa Monica, Calif. in 1972 called the studio Drum Workshop , offering both private lessons and monthly workshops and which eventually evolved into DW Drums.
