DreamWorld went into Films in the year 2007. It Produces/Distributes Bollywood & Hollywood Films and Distributes other films Worldwide. DreamWorld Produces/Distributes Motion Pictures under DreamWorld Pictures. DreamWorld aslo Produces/Distributes Animated Films, mostly with Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios and DreamWorks Animation.
In the year 2007 DreamWorld Pictures Produced/Distributed it' first Motion Picture, Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om with Red Chillies Entertainment.
In the year 2008-09, DreamWorld Pictures started Distributing other films too. It Distributed Jaideep Sen's directoral debut film Krazzy 4. Beside that it also Produced/Distributed with Yash Raj Films two Movies. It Prouced/Distributed Kunal Kohli's Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and debutant Jugal Hansraj's Roadside Romeo. Roadside Romeo was also Co Produced by Walt Disney Pictures. In the same year DreamWorld Pictures went into Hollywood and Produced/Distributed it's first movie Hollywood movie Bolt with Walt Disney and Sam Mendes's Revolutionary Road with DreamWorks and Paramount Vantage.
In the year 2009-10 DreamWorld Pictures Produced/Distributed with Warner Bros., Zack Snyder's Watchmen. Extending it's relationship more stronger and bigger, DreamWorld Pictures Produced/Distributed with Red Chillies Entertainment, Walt Disney Pictures, Warner Bros., DreamWorks. Beside that it has also worked with more talented people both in Bollywood and Hollywood such as, It Co Produced Up with Pixar along with Walt Disney Pictures. It Distributed Saif Ali Khan's first film from Illuminati Films Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal-4th Higghest Grossing film of 2009. it Co Produced two films with UTV Motion Pictures,Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'DELHI 6' & AshutoshGowarikar's 'WHAT'S YOUR RAASHEE'. It Co Produced with Karan Johar of Dharma Productions, debutant Ayaan Mukherjee's 'WAKE UP SID' and debutant Resil D'Silva's 'KURBAAN'. Also with Columbia Pictures, Ronald Emmerich's '2012'- 5th Higghest Grossing Films of 2009. DreamWorld Pictures produced it's very first film. It Produced/Distributed Sam Mendes's 'STONE COLD'-Awarded in many categorries in BAFTA, Golden Globe and Oscars. Anurag Basu's 'BOLLYWOOD'and debutant Sharan Kapoor's 'TAJ'- First Higghest Grossing Films of 2009 and it received awards for Best Foreign Language Film in BAFTA, Golden Globe and Oscars- India's First film to get the Oscars.In 2009, DreamWorld have partnered with Sony Pictures Animation to Produce/Distribute Animation Films together.
In the year 2010, DreamWorld announced that it won't be distributing other films, beside that it launched two new Film Brands, DreamWorld Searchlight Pictures- Third Film Brand which Produces/Distributes Mature subjects both Bollywood & Hollywood. It Produced/Distribute debutant Abhishek Chaubey's 'ISHQIYA' with Vishal Bharadwaj Pictures & Raman Rao of Shemaroo Entertainment. The film was declared as "the first clean hit of 2010". And then with Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Production's and Fox STAR Studios's, Karan Johar's 'MY NAME IS KHAN'. 'MY NAME IS KHAN' broke all the Box Office in India, UK & US. It launched it's Forth Film Brand, DreamWorld Spotlight Motion Pictures. It Produced/Distributed it's first Tamil Film , Selvaraghavan's 'AAYIRATHIL ORUVAN' with R. Ravindram of Dream Valley Films. It became a successful venture commercially. Followed by; Gautham Menon's 'VINNAITHAANDI VARUVAAYAA' with Madhan, Ganesh Janardhanan, Jayaraman & Elred Kumar of Escape Artist Motion Pictures which achieved positive reviews, with several critics giving the film "CLASSIC" status, whilst also become a commercially successful venture.
On April, 2010 DreamWorld Motion Pictures will be replacing DreamWorld Pictures due to the popularity created in US & India.
