Dr. Bjarne Berg

Dr. Bjarne Berg (1966-) Born Harstad, Norway, is assistant professor of Computer Science and Mathematics at Lenoir Rhyne College in North Carolina and is an internationally recognized expert in SAP Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. He is married to Carol Berg (1969-) and have three sons, Bjarne Berg (1995-), Michael J. Berg (1998-), Eric R. Berg (2001-)

Major Offices and Projects
Berg has worked as a Sr. Manager at PriceWaterhouseCooper's global data warehouse group and as a Director of Business Intelligence at MyITGroup Ltd. In these positions he has managed large scale data warehouse projects for Fortune-500 companies World-wide. This include projects for Ericsson Telecom, Chevron-Texaco, International Thomson Publishing, International Paper. He has also worked as an advisor and manager for projects for OTP Bank (Hungary), SEB Banken (Sweden), Bank of Hawaii, BankAmerica, Equiva Services, Research in Motion (Canada), Anheuser-Busch, Asea-Brown Boveri (Sweden), Hess Oil Co., Brady Corp, Callaway golf, Waste management, Respironics, Novellus, Cadence, Sedgwick county, AutoDesk, Pacific Gas & Electric & many others.

Education
Berg holds a Bachelor of Science from Appalachian State University (B.Sci.) 1994, undergraduate work at FKCC (1991), an MBA from East Carolina University (1995), a Doctorate in Information Systems from Argosy University (DBA) in 2002 and a second Ph.D. candidate at University of North Carolina (2007). He attended the Norwegian Army Military Academy (KSG) and served as an officer in the Norwegian Armed Forces (1986-1991).
