Doug Macdonnell is one of the councillors of Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. Macdonnell was raised in Coquitlam and has lived in the City for most of his life. He is married to Kathy and they are raising two sons: Devon and Jordan. He is a retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer. He was elected to Council in 2006. He has been active in the community, including: serving as the President of Coquitlam City Soccer, serving as a Director of the Coquitlam Field Sports Association, serving as head coach for the Coquitlam Minor Football Association and also volunteering with Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver. He has also served on numerous committees for recreation and cultural services.
