Best friends Dewayne Washington, had a best friend name Rafael Vasquez, who went to Mexico with his relatives for the holidays. His mother had left for a while, and Dewayne was home alone. Dewayne heard a knocking on his door so he answered it. It was Rafeal, and Dewayne is glad that he is back. After a while, Dewayne starts noticing that Rafeal is acting strange. Rafeal starts chanting "Best Friends Forever" and starts chasing Dewayne around the house. After being trapped in his room, he shouts for Rafeal to go away, throwing a Harry Potter book which he had received from Rafeal yesterday, at him. Rafeal goes away, and his mother comes home. His mother says that Rafeal as killed in a car accident yesterday, meaning that Rafeal was a ghost.

The Quilt Rebbecca Jenkins bought a strange quilt fo a quilt shop. When she goes to bed, she has nightmares of witches in a quilting circle. Rebbecca feels like she is getting power from the quilt. Each day she looks sicker and sicker until her mother gets worried. She tries to get the quilt away from Rebbaca, but she gets shocked. Rebbecca then releases a witch from the quilt.

Circus Dreams Chaz Farris and is only friend, Billy Evans decide to go to a circus. After the circus, Billy uses his metal detector for lost cash or coins. He said he made a lot of money doing this before. Billy has to go home, and gives the metal detector to Chaz. Chaz promises to give it back the next day. He finds a case, and then bullies come and take away the detector. After they go away, Chaz opens up the case to find what looks like a "Monkey-fishlike doll". That night Chaz is wondering what to do, and he utterly hates the bullies. The next day, there is news that the bullies were killed with the metal detector smashed. Billy makes enemies with Chaz and calls him "Chaz the spaz" and becomes just like the bullies. Chaz hates Billy too, and the next day Billy suddenly disappeared. Filled with guilt, Chaz looks at the mirror and starts shouting at himself, yelling I hate you! Shadows slowly engulf Chaz, and it was the monkey doll the did it all.
