DMZ tour

DMZ tour refers to a tour which visits various sites along the Korean Demilitarized Zone. The tours are conducted on both sides of the DMZ.



A typical North Korean DMZ Tour may include some or all of the following sites:
*Joint Security Area (Panmunjom)
*Unification House
*Tank Traps
*Panmungak
*Kim Il-sung signature monument
*North Korea Peace Museum
*Observation platform for viewing cement wall that divides the peninsula
*Kijong-dong and flag pole


A typical South Korean DMZ Tour may include some or all of the following sites:
*Joint Security Area (Panmunjeom)
*Camp Bonifas
*Dorasan Observatory
*Dorasan Station
*A tunnel dug under the DMZ by North Koreans
*Udasan Observatory
*Imjingak
The JSA, Camp Bonifas and Dora Observatory are all within South Korea's side of the DMZ. These sites can only be visited by foreigners nationals i.e. non-South Korean citizens. Imjimgak is the closest point to the DMZ that most South Koreans citizens are allowed to visit freely.
