DL.TV

DL.TV was a technology related IPTV show hosted by Robert Heron. It provided a mix of product reviews, tech news, and technology help.
As of February 11, 2009 DL.TV production went on hiatus. The site noted that a lack of personnel left the production staff unable to produce quality material .
The show streamed live weekly on Thursday afternoons at 3:00pm ET/Noon PT from the Ziff Davis office in San Francisco, California. In addition, it was also offered for download in multiple formats on the DL.TV website and via podcasts. The show could also be viewed via TivoCast as part of the Now Playing list. DL.TV also streamed on Joost, as well, with most new shows uploaded the day of broadcast.
DL.TV Bytes are shorter episodes produced since the longer show went on hiatus. Robert Heron lost his job at Extreme Tech after its closure and his fate on the show and other Ziff Davis properties has still yet to be seen, however Heron and former host Patrick Norton host a show, HD Nation on Revision3 from 14th July 2009.
History
The show was originally known as "DigitalLife TV," and was shortened to DL.TV in late 2005, possibly to avoid confusion between the show and annual technology expo show, also called DigitalLife.
The show aired its 100th episode on October 3, 2006 and a new intro sequence was introduced in episode #121.
On Episode 188, which aired on August 2, 2007, co-host Patrick Norton announced he was leaving the show and would be replaced by Roger Chang. Norton said he would be taking a new job, but in the future, he would be making guest appearances on DL.TV and CrankyGeeks. In December 2007, Chang announced he would be leaving the show at the end of the year. On TWiT show 126 Chang announced that upon leaving DL.TV, he would be following Patrick Norton to Revision3.
The show was originally broadcast only on Tuesdays but starting on November 10, 2005, the show was also broadcast on Thursdays. Then on August 7, 2007, Roger Chang announced that they had made the decision to broadcast only once a week, in order to have more time to work on stories and introduce new elements to the show. The show went through multiple changes in broadcast times over its run.
DL.TV's hosts have urged viewers to participate in various forums including with DL.TV team number is 57391 and Nintendo Wii's Mii Parade with code: 3866 4961 3764 6024.
