DJ White Shadow

Paul Blair, or DJ White Shadow as he is professionally known, is a DJ, record producer, and mixtape specialist. He acquired his beginnings as a locally based DJ in the city of Chicago, Illinois. He later gained prominence as a renowned and publicly acclaimed DJ for masterfully blending genres particularly Hip hop, leading him to be personally requested by prominent figures such as Pete Wentz, R. Kelly, and Victoria's Secret. Blair is currently working closely with Lady Gaga and her record label on her highly anticipated second major release, Born This Way, scheduled to be released on May 23, 2011. The first single from the album the song, Born This Way, co-produced by himself, Fernando Garibay and Lady Gaga, written by the latter, reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 making it his first number one. It is currently still at the number one positon for the fourth week in a row.

Born This Way
On Thursday January 27, 2011 Lady Gaga released the official lyrics and writing/productions credits for the song Born This Way and it was revealed who she had been mysteriously working with. The credits stated that the song was written by Lady Gaga and co-produced by herself, long time friend and collaborater Fernando Garibay, and someone named DJ White Shadow. It was later announced that Lady Gaga has enlisted DJ White Shadow's help after listening to his mixtapes. On an interview with Billboard DJ White Shadow had stated that Lady Gaga had e-mailed him and asked if he made his own beats, when he told her he did she called him and asked if he would like to work with her and he said, "Okay." When BillBoard asked how it was like working with Lady Gaga on Born This Way he responded saying "She made it. She came up with the idea, she wrote it. She is a genius." DJ White Shadow has also revealed that he worked on Lady Gaga's song, "Government Hooker", which Gaga remixed and debuted at Mugler's fashion show in Paris. He has described the song as a, "thumping, sexy track" and called it his "favorite song" and "a beast."
