DJ Brian Dawe is a Remixer, nightclub DJ, and Reality Television personality who has established himself as one of the most noteworthy open format DJs in the United States. Dawe has spun vinyl alongside a wide array popular artists, including Rihanna, , Avicii, Busta Rhymes, Steve Aoki, Alesso, Travie McCoy, Lil Jon, DJ Khaled, 2 Live Crew, and Trick Daddy. In 2010 Dawe competed, and was South Eastern runner-up in the Red Bull thre3style DJ battle. He also was one of the featured opening acts for Rihanna's Last Girl on Earth Tour. In April 2013, Brian was selected as one of the nineteen contestants for the third season of VH1,'s DJ reality show Master of the Mix. Dawe appeared on seven episodes of the show. Cancer diagnosis/recovery In March of 2009, Dawe was diagnosed with testicular cancer. After initial treatment a recurrence in his abdominal lymph nodes were discovered on October 23, 2009. After a chemotherapy regimen treatment of bleomycin, etoposide, and a platinum agent cisplatin, Brian received a clean bill of health on January 11, 2010. Since his recovery he has been a spokesperson for the Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation, which works to raise public awareness about testicular cancer.
