DisSpam is an open source Perl script that is able to remove spam directly from your mail server. As such, it is best run on a periodic basis from cron or other task scheduler. Written by Mina Naguib, it uses Rule Based Logic to determine which emails are spam and which are not. It can work independently or in conjunction with other anti-spam software such as SpamAssassin, and is independent of the email client program used to download and read the email. Licensing DisSpam is free/open source software. According to the readme file distributed with it, DisSpam is licensed under the "Perl license" which presumably means under the GNU GNU General Public License.
