Determination puzzle

A determination puzzle is a puzzle in which the goal is to determine the value for some or each of the elements. Popular determination puzzles include Sudoku, Nurikabe and Minesweeper.

In a binary determination puzzle (such as Nurikabe) the elements can be assigned exactly two values (e.g. black or white in Nurikabe).
