Desi Girlz () is an upcoming Hindi comedy drama film, which is the sequel to the 2011 film Desi Boyz. It will star Zarine Khan and Diana Penty in the lead roles. It is slated for release on 27th September, 2013. Filming starts in October 2012. Cast *Zarine Khan *Diana Penty *Imran Khan *Ranbir Kapoor *Rishi Kapoor will be essaying the role of Zarine's Father in the film. *Akshay Kumar as Cameo *John Abraham as Cameo *Deepika Padukone as Cameo *Chitrangada Singh as Cameo *Emraan Hashmi in Item Song *Katrina Kaif in Item Song Casting Originally, The Lead of the film were supposed to be Jacqueline Fernandez and Anushka Sharma. Fernandez later dropped the project due to being uncomfortable with the tag and Sharma who had conflicts with the dates. Zarine Khan, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Diana Penty, Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were later rumored but it was Khan and Penty who finally bagged the roles. Kaif was later called back to do the female item number whilst Emraan Hashmi will play the male item number. Filming Filming starts in late October. Everything is not yet fully confirmed though.
