Deseret Tavares is a self-described psychic, celebrity life coach, and broadcast personality.
Background
Tavares was born and raised in Colombia, where she says family encouraged her inherited psychic talents. She has studied spirituality and metaphysics in Europe, Central America and South America. Tavares has also studied the practices of chanting, spell craft, spell work, healing, occult traditions and various forms of witchcraft in Asia, Italy, Brazil and Colombia. Tavares' also claims expertise in mediation, energy healing and paranormal space clearing. A first-generation immigrant to the United States, Tavares has two children and has appeared as a psychic guest on television and radio programs such as Univision, Telemundo and MTV.
In early 2009, some predictions by Tavares some related to celebrities, including romantic pairings and break-ups such as those involving Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Madonna’s relationship with Alex Rodriguez, and a 2009 marriage between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, appeared in print.
In March 2010, Tavares claimed to have predicted the 2010 Haiti earthquake which had taken place in January, and an earthquake which had taken place in Chile in February.
