Dennis Almazan

Dennis N. Almazan is a Researcher and Fashion Director based in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines.
In 2011, he represented the Philippines for a Scenography convention, Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space in Prague, Czech Republic
.

The Philippine Embassy in Prague inaugurated the exhibition of traditional Philippine garments on June 22, 2011 at the "Blumentritt-Rizal Bastion," Velka Dominikánská Street in , Czech Republic where he was one of the curators. The bastion was established in the same year to house a memorabilia on the friendship between Dr. Jose Rizal and Professor Ferdinand Blumentritt, a collection of pictures and documents about Philippine-Czech relations and a number of Philippine cultural items.
He also participated in two celebrations marking the Philippines’ 113th Independence Day in Prague, with a diplomatic reception at the Hotel Hilton Celnice and at the Shrine of the Holy Infant Jesus.

Biography
Early years
Dennis Almazan finished college at Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro with a degree of Bachelor of Arts major in Development Communication. After graduating college, he went to Manila and pursued his career in theater at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. He was honed in Event Organizing, Directing and Stage Management which led him to be a sought-after Fashion Director in Cagayan de Oro.
Theater
In 1987, he won Best Actor and Best Over-all Performer from the play Ang Lalaking Ayaw Umakyat sa Langit for the Pista ng Dulang Pilipino at Xavier University High School. In 1991, he was nominated as Best Actor from the play, Ang Paglilitis ni Mang Serapio for the National Theater Festival sponsored by the Cultural Center of the Philippines. In 1994, He also played lead role for the musical play Kung Paano ko Pinatay si Diana Ross.
