The dementia screening test (DST) is a mobile phone app for early detection and prevention of dementia, which has been categorized as a medical device by health authorities. Use The DST can be used with any current mobile phone or tablet without registration. It is designed as a multi-dimensional cognitive test. There are 5 subtests to be completed, resulting in a total score and individual scores for the areas of executive functions, language, memory, orientation and attention. Depending on the scores achieved in relation to the maximum achievable score, recommendations for further diagnostic clarification (for lower scores), or re-testing in 3-6 months (for higher scores) are made.
