Dehawks

Dehawks - Nazi unit created in 1938, November, to devastate Jewish homes, shops and other connected places. It was part of action organised by Nazi in 30's, now called the Night of Broken Glass.
Activity
Formally unit has existed for three weeks. After that time soldiers were sent back to their former military units. During existence they were 'working' near south border. Mainly, the manifestations were:
*fireing Synagogues
*demolishing Jewish shops
*demolishing Jewish cementeries
In whole Germany soldiers mostly didn't care about people. Very strange, but also positive thing about this unit was that they probably didn't want to anyone get hurt - they devastated only empty buildings. Because of that many Jews could run away with their whole family, not only few survivors.
Name
Dehawks name was formed at early '40. It was created to show unique, for German army, origin of it's commander Hans Dehawk. His forefathers were probably from Great Britain, but he himself was born and grown in Germany.
