Decent Community

Decent Community (often referred to on the Web as The Community or DecentCommunity.org) is a "communal blog" founded by two anonymous friends, featuring a diverse slate of writers commenting on a variety of subjects that the authors deem "decent."

This Boston-based Web site serves to provide goofy, informative and thought-provoking slants on topics that include politics, music, food, pop culture, religion, romance, sports and style. Its views and analysis are highlighted by observations and anectdotes that would normally be characterized as overly grotesque and off limits for many.

Decentcommunity.org was launched in January 2008 as a virtual symposium to promote the exchange of uncommon content freely and honestly amongst Community members -- a practice Decent Community terms as "exchanging decency to the bone." The comedic and often absurd points of view are said to reflect the founders' unique take on current events and social situations.

Decent Community runs two subsidiaries called Decentmail.org , where personal e-mails amongst friends are posted, and Decentcollage.com , a picture blog that is attempting to become the world's largest collage. The Community is also known to sponsor unordinary gatherings around the city of Boston.
