Debangshu Bhattacharya

Debangshu Bhattacharya 'Dev' (born 1996) is an Indian politician and social media content creator. He has been the head of Trinamool Congress's Information Technology (IT Cell) wing since 2022.
Birth and education
Bhattacharya was born in 1996 in Howrah, West Bengal. He attended his school education at Bally Nischinda Chittaranjan Vidyalaya in Howrah. He completed his engineering from Kolkata's Elitte Institute of Engineering and Management.
Rise as a politician
In 2021 West Bengal assembly election, Bhattacharya composed a song titled Khela Hobe which was uploaded on social media on January 7 and following its DJ version. It became famous all over the state. Even if he was not given a ticket for contesting, he was then appointed as general secretary of TMCP by Abhishek Banerjee. He became a media representative of TMC in TV debates.
2024 Lok Sabha elections
He was awarded to contest from Tamluk seat against former jurist of Calcutta High Court Abhijit Ganguly who joined Bharatiya Janata Party in February 2024. However he was defeated.
