Dean Ravera

Dean Anthony Ravera (born in Liverpool on September 14th 1984) is an English double bass and electric bass player.
Dean Ravera was the bass player for the English folk rock group The Stands. During these 4 years he toured across 4 continents and played high profile festivals such as Glastonbury, V Festival and T in the Park.He has appeared live with Australian rock band Jet and features on their live recording of 'Move On'.
He has worked with Howie Payne (Howard Eliott Payne) on his debut solo album Bright Light Ballads due for release in 2009.
He has recorded with Irish singer-song writer John Mullin who's album is due for release in 2009, and tour dates and festivals organised for 2009.
Ravera works with Steve Pilgrim (drummer with Paul Weller) on his solo work, touring throughout the UK in 2008, with an album set to be recorded in March 2009.
He also regularly records with Bill Ryder-Jones (formerly of The Coral) on his own material.

As well as being regarded as one of the finest bass players around, Ravera also teaches bass to several pupils across the North West of England.
