Dean Kerr (born 13 May 1985 in Wollongong, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player who is naturally left footed and plays as a left back or left midfielder. Kerr has played professionally for Parramatta Power and also played in the NSW State league with Wollongong Wolves. Position Dean Kerr is a natural left footed player and is best suited to the positions of Left Fullback and Left Midfield. He has a high work rate, top physical fitness and quick speed which enables Dean to both defend strongly and to quickly move forward in attack. Career Dean started his career of in Wollongong with the Wollongong Wolves before being selected for NSW in the Australian State Championships. After representing NSW Dean was played for Parramatta Eagles who toured Italy and Sweden winning the Italian Cup and Quarter finalists in the Gothia Cup respectively. Kerr was then signed by Professional Football Club Parramatta Power on a 3 year deal.Dean then moved from Parramatta Power back to Wollongong Wolves. Parramatta Power Dean was signed for Parramatta Power after a successful Australian Championships. Dean signed a 3 year deal with the club. Although Dean did not break into the first team but he successfully won 2 consecutive National Youth League titles being a regular player in both seasons. In his third year the team won the league but faied to make the Grand Final. After the contract ran out the Club folded due to financial issues. Wollongong Wolves Dean moved back to Wollongong to play for the Wolongong Wolves in the NSW State league Competition. Dean was a regular starter in the Wolves successful 2 seasons by winning the NSW tiger Turf State Cup. After 2 seasons in Wollongong Kerr suffered a hernia which kept him out for two to four months which made him have to miss a season with Wollongong. Fernhill Kerr joined Fernhill in the Illawarra Premier League where he was a key member of the teams success. Kerr took the team to semi finals where the club crashed out after a heart break defet by cross town rivals. Kerr success that year brought him the Player of the Year award.
