Dawn Trader

Dawn Trader are a heavy rock band from Nottingham who began their career as part of the NWOBHM ("New Wave Of British Heavy Metal") movement during the late 70s and early 80s.
Formed by writer and guitarist Chris Allard in late 1979 from the ashes of local band Screw, the band had a number of incarnations and line ups during their six or seven year career. Allard left the band shortly after the release of their only official EP. Consistent members guitarist Wayne Vizard and bassist Ric Evans subsequently recruited a number of musicians, including Steve Humphreys, guitarist Andy Kealey, drummers Keith White and Don Bailey and vocalist Mick Preston.
The band broke up in 1986 reunited over 20 years later in to celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2010. The reunion was so well received that the band decided to officially reform and to record their debut album, to be titled "Castle". The record is slated for release in late 2010.
