David Seiwert is an American martial arts instructor from Ohio who has a martial background from several notable teachers, such as Chien Liang Huang, Winglok Ng, Leo Gaje, Maginoo Romell Tortal, Henry Jaymee, Nene Tortal and Jerson Tortal Jr. He has been practicing martial arts more than 40 years and involved in different systems like Jiu Jitsu, Ng Family Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Tien Shan Pai, Northern and Southern Shaolin, Tai Chi Chuan and Kuntaw (Kuntao). He is well known for his contribution to South East Asian martial art, Kuntao. Martial arts David Seiwert has begun his martial arts training and career in an early age, focusing on Japanese and Korean martial arts (jujutsu, Tae Kwon Do) and later moved to Chinese martial arts. There was two important teacher on his career in Kung Fu, Chien Liang Huang and Winglok Ng. So, his Shaolin Kung Fu curriculum is mostly focused on the arts he has learnt from these teacher, Tien Shan Pai and Ng Family Kung Fu. Besides Chinese Kung Fu, he has been practicing and teaching Filipino Martial Arts. Sayoc Fighting Systems, Dekiti Tirsia Siradas, Doce Pares, Pekiti Tirsia, Balintawak Arnis and Lameco Escrima are among the Filipino Martial Arts that Guro David has practiced. His Kuntao system is called Harmonious Fist Kuntao, or with its Chinese name Yihetuan Kuntao.. that has both Chinese and Filipino influences, including empty hand techniques and weapons at the same time.
