David L. Heiserman

David L. Heiserman (1940-2020) was a robotics and radio astronomy inventor, author, and educator. The RB5X was an early commercial implementation of the concept of autonomous mobile robotics (AMR) proposed and demonstrated by Heiserman in his first book in 1976. In 1997, he developed the free education website www.free-ed.net.
