David Brough

David Brough (born 22 June 1962) is a British journalist specialising in jewellery and gemstone markets and is co-founder and Editor of digital magazine Jewellery Outlook. Since 2017, Brough has been the Precious Metals and Gems Editor of International Jewellery London (IJL), an annual UK jewellery trade fair organised by Reed Exhibitions. Brough worked for Reuters for over 30 years until 2016, including postings as a foreign correspondent in the United States, Ecuador, Venezuela, Cyprus, Portugal and Italy. While based in Rome from 1999 to 2004, he won the 2002-03 A.H. Boerma award of the UN. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for his reporting on hunger issues. Brough has contributed articles about jewellery and gemstone markets to publications and websites, including Rapaport Magazine, Jewelry Connoisseur, Baselworld Daily News, Retail Jeweller, The Jeweller, Forbes India, IJL, Jewellery & Watch (Birmingham), and GemGeneve. |
