David "Davey" Dodds (1 March 1971 - 20 August 2017) was a professional English darts player who played in Professional Darts Corporation events. Dodds qualified as an amateur for the 2011 UK Open by winning a qualifying competition in Middlesbrough. He lost his first round match to James Wade, who went on to win the tournament. He also qualified for the 2012 UK Open, but was beaten by Gary Anderson who threw a nine-dart finish during the match. Dodds secured a two-year PDC Tour Card at Q-School in 2014, by finishing 16th on the Order of Merit. Dodds passed away on 20 August 2017, at the age of 46.
