Dave London, (born Laurence Samuels), is a prolific electronic music producer and DJ who is best known for his melodic style breakbeat and trance music. Dave London was born and raised in the UK before moving to the USA in 1991. He maintains a strong fan base following in Europe, the USA and Canada, and in Orlando, Florida where he currently resides. The Early Years Dave London grew up in the dance music enriched country of the UK where dance songs are considered Top 40 and trance anthems are regularly feautured in the BBC Radio 1 Top 40 sales charts. Dave grew up listening to such dance anthems as "The Spice Must Flow" by Eon, "Acid" by D-Mob & "Devotion" by Nomad. He cites Faithlesses anthemic "Insomnia" song produced by Rollo as the main influence that steered him to become an electronic dance music producer. Dave London moved to Florida in 1996 where he actively began producing music with infamous breakbeat producer Huda Hudia. The duo produced succcessful traks such as Junior Camp "Blazing Pianos" and "Clap Your Hands". "Clap Your Hands" was licensed to hard house monster label Tripoli Trax reached #7 in the Radio 1 Dance Charts. Dave London & Huda Hudia would part ways in 1998 due to Dave wanting to create his own record label. Yes Mate Recordings In 1998, Dave created his record label. Yes Mate Recordings would be his outlet to record and independently release original songs for himself and other recording artists including DJ 43, Filthy, Jinx, Tony Allen, Rennie Pilgeem, Speedo, and DJ Nitro. Yes Mate Recordings would go on to release 17 vinyl record releases. In 2001, http://www.yesmaterecordings.com was published online and offered mp3 downloads. Currently, Yes Mate Recordings offers more than 50 music titles for donwload. Music Production Career Since 1996, Dave London has been involved with more than 70 music productions. Some of his more notable productions have been alongside Fatboy Slim (Mike & Charlie "I Get Live" Regal Records, UK Cat #REG 47 DJ), and Junkie XL (Syntax "Pray" Illustrious Records, UK cat #12PRAYDJ01). He has also recorded alongside Deejay Punkroc and Jurgen Vriees.
