Dave Jenkins Jr (born ca. 1986) is an Australian musician from Woy Woy. He has worked as the drummer for wonky pop singer Andy Bull and for Reece Mastin, the Australian 2011 The X-Factor winner. Besides playing the drums, Jenkins has also provided guitar and vocals for various ensembles including Fyna, The Inheritors, and Young Romantics. Biography At the age of nine-years-old, Dave Jenkins (born ca. 1986), In 2002, Jenkins was a student at Brisbane Water Secondary College in Woy Woy. In October, Jenkins and fellow students won seven awards at the New South Wales Kool Skools competition, with Jenkins winning "Best CD Cover" (shared with Laura Baker), "Best Rock-Alternative Song" by his band Fyna (with Bennison and John) and "Best Instrumentalist: Drummer"; while Bennison won "Best Instrumentalist: Guitar" and "Best Male Vocalist", John won "Best Instrumentalist: Bass", and Bennison and John were also members of Noexit which won "Best Rock-Alternative Band". In 2003 Jenkins completed his Higher School Certificate making the "distinguished achievers list" for his music studies. During early 2004 Fyna signed with Empire Records and travelled to Melbourne's Studio 52 to record tracks over a six week stint with producers, Trevor Carter and Ben Green. In December 2008, Jenkins was the drummer and vocalist of indie pop band, The Inheritors, in the Central Coast with Bill Burgess on bass guitar and vocals, and Tobias "Tij" Priddle on lead vocals and guitar. In January 2009, the group toured in support of Australian rock band, Kisschasy. The band released a self-titled extended play by July 2011 and they continued playing shows in the Sydney area through 2012. In November, the track was issued on the related various artists' compilation album, Like a Version Volume Seven. Subsequently Jenkins and Bennison were in Bull's backing band and toured in support of the latter's EP, The Phantom Plains.<ref name="Fuamoli"/> From December 2011, Jenkins was part of Reece Mastin's backing band - that year's The X-Factor winner - on the latter's (2011-12) which was followed by (2012-13), which promoted Mastin's second album, Beautiful Nightmare.<ref name="NMEKids"/>
