Dave Birss

Dave Birss is a Scottish non-fiction author who writes about creativity theories. Briss has worked in creative leadership positions at advertising agencies, been the editor-at-large for The Drum magazine and written three books.
Career
In 2009, he was the digital creative head at OgilvyOne London. Before that, he held creative leadership positions at Poke and McCann Worldgroup.
In 2010, he became Editor at Large for The Drum magazine. Birss has contributed to The Daily Telegraph, The Drum and the BBC.  In 2013 he founded the creative agency, Additive.
Iconic Advantage, which he co-wrote with Soon Yu, won the 2019 Axiom Business Book Award in Advertising/Marketing/PR/Event Planning. His book How To Get To Great Ideas won a silver medal in the 2020 Axiom Business Book Award in the Business Reference category.
