Darryl J. Leiter is an astrophysicist who is the author of 52 scientific papers. He is actively involved with an astrophysics research group led by Rudolph Schild at the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, that is developing a fundamental theory of quasar structure based on the new paradigm of Magnetospheric Eternally Collapsing Objects (MECOs) ". In collaboration with Stanley Robertson and Rudolph Schild, Darryl Leiter has published a series of papers which present quantitative observational and theoretical arguments based on General Relativity and "The Strong Principle of Equivalence" that: a) Magnetospheric Eternally Collapsing Objects (MECOs), which contain strong intrinsic equipartition magnetic fields in lieu of event horizons, exist in the Universe and, b) Active Galactic Nuclei actually contain (MECOs) instead of Black Holes.
