Darragh Moriarty is an Irish Labour Party politician who represents the South West Inner City on Dublin City Council. Early life Moriarty is from Dolphin's Barn Street, Dublin 8. He was educated at Synge Street CBS and University College Dublin. Political career Moriarty was co-opted to Dublin City Council in 2020 to represent the South West Inner City ward, replacing party colleague Rebecca Moynihan, who entered the Seanad. He was returned to the council in 2024, and leads the Labour group there. He has advocated for a hotel tax, and for a limit to tourist accommodation being built in Dublin 8. Personal life Moriarty works in policy and communications for an NGO.
