Danny Treanor

Danny Treanor (B. 1943) is an American television news meteorologist for Bright House Networks Cable news channel Central Florida News 13 that broadcasts 24 hours daily throughout the Orlando, Melbourne and Daytona Beach metropolitan areas in Central Florida.

Biographical Sketch

A native of Pensacola, FL, and a veteran of 30 plus years in the television news field, Treanor holds a degree in Political Science from the University of South Alabama.

Since 2004, Treanor has handled weekend morning weather duties for Central Florida News 13. His quirky sense of humor and down-home personality made him a favorite with long-time Central Florida residents for 18 years (1978-1995) when he worked for local ABC-TV affiliate WFTV-TV Ch. 9.

Treanor began his career in his hometown of Pensacola. He spent six years in radio before making the jump to television. For 11 years Danny worked for WALA-TV in Mobile, AL where he did the weather and hosted "Dialing for Dollars."

Personal Life, Hobbies, Interests

The single father of two teenage sons likes to spend his spare time gardening, jet skiing, converting records to CDs and repairing computers. He's also a big movie buff. Treanor is also a crusader against the abuse of domesticated animals, and regularly hosts a segment on Central Florida News 13 that puts unwanted pets up for adoption.
