Danny Last

Danny Last is a dancer who appeared on Strictly Dance Fever on BBC One television, and on stage in Simply Ballroom.
Last trained at Merseyside Dance & Drama Centre, studying ballet, tap, modern jazz, Latin, ballroom, national, disco, double work and contemporary. He graduated with the option to gain qualifications to teach. He is also a British, European, and World champion line dancer and a qualified judge in various forms of dance from line dance to Street Dance.
Biography
On Strictly Dance Fever, Last and his dance partner Jodie Binsteed took second place. In 2005, he starred as one of the principal dancers in Strictly Ballroom Dancing with Lionel Blair and Jane McDonald on its Autumn UK national tour. During the 2005/2006 panto period, he completed Cinderella with Julian Clary at the Liverpool Empire Theatre.
Last also starred as one of the principal dancers in the six-month UK National Tour of Simply Ballroom in 2006. He performed in the show's Autumn World Tour in South Africa, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and on London's West End. During the 2006/2007 panto season, Last once again performed with Julian Clary in Dick Whittington in Northampton. Afterward, he went immediately back into Simply Ballroom for the UK National Tour, until it finished in mid-2007.
During the Simply Ballroom tour, Last joined the Las Vegas cast of Simply Ballroom and performed with them for two months. He then returned to the UK to complete the 2007 UK National Tour. In July he once again performed as a principal dancer in Simply Ballroom when filming underwent for its release as a DVD.
Following it's release via Universal Pictures UK, the DVD of Simply Ballroom has through Amazon.co.uk alone sold to date 7,062 units, ranking at number 32 in the dance category. The DVD is introduced by the shows choreographers, dancing stars Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag as well as comedian and novelist Julian Clary and soprano and media personality Lesley Garrett.
Last has also appeared and performed on South Africa's Strictly Come Dancing, ITV's "This Morning" several times, backing dancer for Geri Halliwell, appeared and performed on Channel 4's Richard & Judy. He has performed at and attended charity events run by Champneys and the Lord's Taverners.
2008
At the beginning of 2008, Danny participated in the US tour of Simply Ballroom, staring screen legend Debbie Reynolds, alongside American Idol season 4 alumni Vonzell Solomon and Anthony Fedorov. Following this a further UK tour took place including weekend events at Warner Leisure Hotels and Potters Leisure Resorts.
The opportunity then arose for Danny be star in ABD Productions version of Anne Dalton's "Our Benny" at Live Nation's Liverpool Empire Theatre starring Sam Kane and Bernie Nolan.
Danny has recently performed in pantomime alongside Cilla Black, Les Dennis, Jennifer Ellison, Nick Pickard, Ted Robbins and Pete Price in Cinderella again at the Liverpool Empire theatre. The production was billed at the UK's top pantomime and is the largest panto production seen in the UK to co-inside with Liverpool's European Capital of Culture year (2008).
