Daniel MacGregor (aka Dan MacGregor) is a British entrepreneur and technologist. He is the Co-Founder of Nexxiot. Career Daniel graduated in 1997 in Physical Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Sheffield and is based in Zurich, Switzerland. In March 2015, he co-founded Nexxiot a Swiss company that develops IoT and Big Data analytics for Supply Chain assets like Railcars, Tank Containers, and Intermodal Shipping Containers. It has received investment from Swiss Insurance giant Mobiliar, The Swiss Entrepreneurs Fund and NY based Qvidtvm, who most recently led a $25 million funding round in 2021. In 2021, Nexxiot received Swisscom’s IoT Climate Award for its contributions to reducing emissions and reducing man-made climate change. Daniel writes on the topic of technology, rail and cargo digitization and innovation for publications like Railway Age and Trans.Info. He is also an artist, specializing in drawing / painting. He has had various exhibitions in Switzerland.
