Dale Scott Deardorff (born in 1955) is an American systems thinker, and futurist He hold the position of director of innovation/strategic management at the Rocky Peak Leadership Center. He is known for creating the Thinking-to-Action process , the Innovation Cube Survey , and research in innovation Biography Deardorff received a M.A. in 2-Dimensional Design (1987) and a M.S. in Automation Engineering (1993) from California State University Northridge, and a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix in 2005. He worked as a Program/Project Manager for Boeing; Rocketdyne, L.E.O.S. (Laster & Electro-Optical Systems), D.E.S. (Directed Energy Systems), and S.D.C. (Satellite Development Center) from 1987-2010. He has been a founding member of the In2In Thinking Network since 2001, where he has presented research, on innovative thinking. He has presented conference workshops on parallel thinking, lateral thinking , sustainability , cognitive research, trust perceptions, thinking-to-action, six action shoes, water logic flowscapes, world changing thinking tools, and six thinking hats He is a developer of Invention Machine using semantic and knowledge based innovation tools. He is a certified facilitator for Edward deBono's 6 Thinking Hats, Lateral Thinking, and Direct Attention thinking tools. He is an adjunct professor at DeVry University The Rocky Peak Leadership Center In 2010, he founded the Rocky Peak Leadership Center,whose goal is too help individuals and organizations manage thinking, make strategic decisions, lead change, and improve communication. In November 2010, the organization attended San Francisco's Global Summit, and using the PRIZM Innovation game, helped generate new ideas on water sustainability.
