Daisho Con

Daisho Con is an annual anime convention held in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Daisho Con is run primarily by college students from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Their first convention will be held November 21st, 22nd, and 23rd of 2008.

History
In late 2007, students from anime society and anime-convention attendees decided to hold a convention in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Since the creation of the Daisho Con student organization, members have worked with other student organizations in the university to secure funding and help. Daisho Con will be held at the Ramada Country Springs Hotel and Convention Center in Stevens Point.

Origins of name
The term Daisho Con originates with the Japanese term , which refers to the two swords commonly used by Japanese samurai.
