Dada Ji is a 2005 American comedy-drama-spiritual short film, and the directorial debut of Sabina Shamdasani. It stars Kumar Pallana, Tania Kapoor, Michael Connolly, and Jamen Nanthakumar, and was produced by Karma Theory Films. The film is about a widowed father moving in with his daughter and her family, with a large portion focusing on their conflict and reconciliation.
Dada Ji received critical acclaim, and was nominated for Best Short Film at the Danville International Children’s Film Festival. It also received the status of Official Selections at: Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival, Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival, San Diego International Children’s Film Festival, South Asian International Film Festival, California Independent Film Festival, and the Damah Spirituality Film Festival.
