John Matthews, now known as Da STRANGER, In the back door of the Well Known "Jigga City" Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This native southern, creole, bayou boy John Matthews, has been out on a mission to represent the true sounds of the south through his music. Rap has many Underground music scenes. John's scene is the ever so popular southern hip-hop/rap, where the "bounce, bodyrockin, jiggin", with a "lil" slap of creole zydeco essence to it, like a "GUMBO" (), is mixed just right. Reaching out to other artist in the huge industry of music, John has dealt with many well known Southern and East Coast artists, and producers: such as Sam-I-Am, Lil Boosie, Nero, B.G., Webbie, Foxx, Sporty T, Max Minnelli, Rambo, East and West, E.P., L.S., DJ Tron, LOS of Flame ENT, and Jaz-O, as well as an array of other rappers. On his adventure of spreading his unique experiences, Da STRANGER has collaborated with some of the old and new up and coming Artists and labels. John's Maxi Single release "Shake -a- Leg "& "So Krucial " Compilation. John is currently release rollin with his camp: Buck 1 of Tear It Down ENT ,the infamous Dez Corleone and Fillmo J.R. of "First Aid", Bookie Bangum, Southern Producer E.P., not to mention other underground associates like Bad Newz. Along with his manager/consultant, Dark Angel, Da STRANGER feels "with a little heart, patience and dedication we can, and will open new music venue, one that is about enjoying the music, dancing and jiggin the night off". John is said to have 49 more styles and he is gonna get hotter. Da STRANGER is working on a new album for 2010.
