Cundari Group (aka Cundari) is an independently owned Canadian advertising agency founded in 1980, with offices in Toronto, Canada and Montréal, Canada.
History
Aldo Cundari founded the business in 1980, an independent agency in Canada with offices in Toronto and Montréal. A hiring spree at the beginning of 2015 bolstered the agency's accounts team.
Cundari's mobile app for The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto achieved global accolades, including a "Best in the World" award from the MAA Worldwide GLOBE Awards as well as a Cannes Gold Lion. The app allows children with cancer to track their pain symptoms and helps oncology researchers manage and treat their pain. The app is available in the iTunes store.
In 2014, Cundari was named the top auto agency by the WARC 100 thanks to its work for BMW. Cundari's "1M Launch" campaign for BMW made it to the WARC 100 smartest marketing campaigns in the world list.
On March 11, 2014, The Globe and Mail published an article detailing Cundari's work on the Republic of Armenia rebrand to promote tourism and attract foreign investment. The new brand will be unveiled in 2015.
In 2015, Cundari launched Cundari Media Trust, a reinvented full-service media offering aimed at making the media offering more transparent. Luke Moore heads up the new division.
Also in 2015, Cundari launched an innovative new non-profit crowd-funding tool kickstopper.ca. The platform raises funds and enables grassroots charities to have a direct impact on local communities.
Aldo Cundari is the author of the business book "Customer-Centric Marketing." Published by Wiley in 2015, the book is available in stores and online.
Work
Cundari is known for developing innovative, creative solutions for its clients. The SickKids Pain Squad mobile app won Fast Company’s Innovation by Design award beating out other finalists including a Microsoft product.
Other notable campaigns include digital work for Dempster's and Maple Leaf Foods, as well as creative for LCBO.
In 2015, Cundari was named the new agency of record for Meridian Credit Union and launched a unique new campaign to promote Meridian's high-interest savings accounts.
Also in 2015, Cundari was named agency of record for the Art Gallery of Ontario. After a comprehensive search process, the agency was selected to develop and execute a new brand umbrella campaign for the gallery, and provide advertising support for three major exhibitions. Cundari also oversees the AGO’s paid digital, non-digital advertising and marketing communication strategies.
