Cubieboard is an open-hardware motherboard, sold as a single-board computer, made in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. A short run of prototype boards were sold internationally in September 2012, and the production version is expected to sell in October 2012. It will be able to run Android 4 ICS, Ubuntu 12.04 desktop or to be used as a NAS. It uses the AllWinner A1X, popular on cheap tablets, phones and media PCs.
