Crystal ace

ACETOMORPIAN
Acetomorpian, is an uncomman psychoactive substance. It was discovered in early 2011 by an unknown person. It is an allotrope of paracetamol and shares the same chemical formula. It is legal under UK law but is often mixed with other illegal substance, most commanly THC crystals. It is sold on online legal high shops at aprox £14 a gram Acetmorpian is only effective as a psychoactive substance when snorted or injected. Oral administration does not wield high enough bio-avaidabiliy The threshold dose is aprox 125mg and lasts 1hour. Users often go for 500mg as it is "much stronger, lasts longer and just feels better." It is only considered mildly addictive by users, who claim they can stop at any time.
EFFECTS
The effects of Acetomorpian are varied. Within 5-10 mins of being snorted, uses report a rush which makes them "feel floaty." After this, a mildly numbing and anaethasia hits the body followed by "entry to Dreamworld." This is a dissacociative- like state where useres feel like they are in a lucid dream. A slow down of time and feelings of calm and relaxation are comman with use. After 1 hour, the drug causes a mild euphoria and feelings of optimism. This is the sign of the comedown. After the effects have worn off, users feel tempted to take more. These cravings persist for about half an hour. Due to it's similarity to paracetamol, continued and comman use may lead to severe liver damage.
POLY DRUG USE
Due to the drug "makes good feelings last longer" it is often mixed with many other drugs, many of which give Acetomorpian its street names. "Crystal ace" is Acetomorpian combined with THC crystals. Average prices are £16-£18 a gram. "White glass" is the combination of Acetomorpian with either Cocaine or Amphetamines. Prices vary from £12-£32 a gram. "St rapture" is a mixture of AM with Heroin or other opioids. It sells for £25 per gram on average. "Fizzy Dizzy" is a combination with alcohol. "Tar coating" is snorting some Acetomorpian then smoking tobacco products during the onset of effects.
PHARMALOLAGY
The effects of Acetomorpian are due to it binding the CB1 and CB2 receptors in the brain. Much like cannabinoids, this creates the calm, relaxation and anaethasia that is felt by users. The drug also promotes a release of B-endorphin and adrenalin, which is most likeley responsable for the rush at the beginning of the onset. The euphoria is due to the release of dopamine and seratonin and the inhibation of their uptake. The dissasociative effects are most likey due to the combined release of these neuro-transmitters.
