History
The Battle Beyond EP (2009)
The band was conceived when the singer/songwriter, Brandon Miles, decided to form a band with his wife, Hannah Colleen in 2009. The duo soon started writing their debut EP. "The Battle Beyond EP" features five original songs and was released on November 9, 2009. The EP was sold in a black paper sleeve. A few hundred copies were printed, and sold out quickly. Only five days after the release, the duo embarked on their first tour, The Battle Beyond Tour. The tour was 18 shows long from October 14 through November 5. The shows were mainly based in the east coast.
The Legends of Manicorn (2010)
After The Battle Beyond Tour concluded, the duo started to record their first full length on their new record label, Milled Pavement. While recording, Crunk Witch embarked on their second headlining tour, called March Tour. The tour consisted of 25 shows between February 26 and March 28. These shows were also based on the east coast. Immediately after the tour, the duo began to release a string of singles from the upcoming album, "The Legends of Manicorn". The four singles released were "Battle Beyond", "You Bleed Like A Girl", "Buy One, Get One Dead", and "Flesh and Flames". The singles soon took to local radio stations. On June 29, Crunk Witch's debut album, "The Legends of Manicorn" was released. The album features the five songs from "The Battle Beyond EP" and six more originals. The album received generally positive reviews. To support the album, a two part tour was booked. "The Legends of Manicorn Tour" was 17 dates long from August 6 to August 26. "The Legends of Manicorn Fall Tour" was 14 dates long from October 14 to October 30. In between the two tours, their record label, Milled Pavement, released a record compilation, "Goosebumps 4.0". The Heroin Chick remix of "You Bleed Like A Girl" was featured on the compilation.
It Ain't By Teenage Humans EP (2011)
In early 2011, the band received the title, best electronic act in Portland, Maine by The Portland Phoenix. To conclude their promotion of "The Legends of Manicorn", a 25 date tour, called "We're Not Dead Yet Tour" was booked for March 9 to April 6. The tour was cancelled half way through, due to their touring vehicle breaking down. To thank the fans for sticking with them, Crunk Witch put together, "It Ain't By Teenage Humans EP" on June 25. The release features two covers and two originals that didn't make the cut for "The Legends of Manicorn". The EP is available for free download on the Milled Pavement website. Crunk Witch's remix of the song "Her Song (I'm Feeling Her)" was featured on Moshe's remix album, "The End of Sacrifice" on June 28.
